Switching to 16 in Gorilla Bars...

I am switching the handle bars on my geared bike to 16 in ape hanger bars..
Will it be difficult to switch all the gear changers to the new bar?? (if the cables even reach..
And also I attached a pic.. IS that knob between the drivers legs a shifter?? if so Where can I find one? Thanks in Advance. VW
