suggestions for my electric recumbent project

so i am currently drafting up ideas for my next project.
i am trying to get my hands on a rebike frame, one of my favorite bikes i ever rode. seems to be a challange but nothing that awaits me for the electric drive.
this will be my first electric drive project and i am wondering what the pros suggest as far as a motor. i heard bionx makes a great system but it is verrrry pricey. i am looking for something that is less than 500 dollars and will work great. here is a picture of the frame to give you an idea of what i am working with
