Stuck throttle

Eww. So I took my bike out for a ride after it sat for a week. The throttle felt a little goofy, really stiff. I didnt think it was stuck WOT! so I drop the clutch, and the bike takes off like a bat out of ****! I must have puckered up a lot as I held on for dear life just before I bit it. chain chewed through my shoe, sock and foot! luckly all else is ok, and no head contact(was wearing helmet).

Looking at the carb from the left, when you put the slide in the long strip goes in the back, and the notch in the front (by the idle screw). You could have it in backwards.
