stuck on 30 mph

I have a 66cc BT electric start kit on a new 26" beach cruiser. The kit came with a 48t sprocket with it i can reach 30 mph and now i have a 36t sprocket but i'm still going 30mph on level ground.

I'd first try a 41T to see what happens.

If stock 48 does 30 mph and you changed to 36, 38/41.should be your ballpark range unless you have a speed limiter of some sorts.
