Stock exhaust mod

I removed only the end cap of the muffler on my 80/66cc bike kit. Will that do any harm to my engine because of back pressure and all? Or could I just leave it? I still have the baffler (all the other stuff) in though.

what mods could I do to the stock exhaust that are ok for the engine?
I have the exhaust that has a weld on baffle so unscrewing it isn't an option.

Also my bike won't idle and moves slowly without throttle but if I hit the brakes on the bike and manage to get the bike to a complete or almost complete stop the engine dies? Need Help

Sounds like your clutch needs adjustment. Try tightening the cable.

I tightened the cable and it doesnt seem to die anymore but still wont idle at all

Try increasing idle speed as well. Also what is your needle clip set at?

The stock carb almost always runs too rich. Try moving the clip up a notch, and continuing to move it up one notch at a time and see where it runs best at. In my experience they usually run best at the leanest setting, but will usually still be running rich without a smaller main jet. They sometimes won't even start because they are so rich that they flood instantly.

Are the floats supposed to be connected to anything inside the bowl or do they sit freely in there?

in the stock NT carb the float sits freely. Do you know what carb you have?
