Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a 66cc Grubee Skyhawk. I am configuring it to a 1957 Schwinn replica. I managed to install the drive crank ok, but looks like there is not enough room to replace the coaster brake arm. Should I disable the hub or just add cable brakes?

it's a nine hole with two rubber isolators. I mounted the shiny side on the inside. I used an isolator then the plate and slide the bolts thru that. Then I tried to replace the arm and it catches on the bolt heads.

type "coaster brake arm" in the search box, and checkmark the "search titles only" box. there's a bunch of solutions.

mostly, you just have to bend it with a couple of wrenches, or a vice and a hammer. it's usually an easy fix. i've done plenty of them.

here's a thread with a custom brake arm so you get the idea...

oh, and it goes "sprocket, isolator, spokes, isolator, moon-shaped clamps..."
