Sprocket is too big for clamshell-sprocket adapter?

I ordered this: http://www.livefastmotors.com/products/gas-powered-bicycle-motor-clamshell-sprocket-adapter-large.html And the sprocket that came with my rag joint is too large in diameter. I can take a pic if necessary but the holes on the old sprocket are spaced too far apart to fit on the adapter.

Is there a guide? What kind of bit should I use?

Well I did a pretty good job of drilling. It fits. Took like 2 flipping hours just to drill and set everything up. Really tired. It's like 3 am right now. Almost made some coffee and eggs. lol.

I'll post some pictures tomorrow and get some advice.
