I spent 28 years as a long haul trucker with many winters spent hauling freight from Portland, Maine to Seattle, Washington, and Portland, Oregon-- I will NEVER put on another set of snow chains because I will never again drive where chains are needed. Not that it doesn't snow here in NC, but it's always gone the next day.

That said, I'm curious as to how it does in the corners and what happens when ice starts forming on the rims.
 
It really does handle same as on dry road even cornering. Ran through 12 inches of snow no problem just had to lift my legs up or get a lap full. Brake pads seem to keep the rim clear and stops fine.
 
Hello jimcny, I'm about 45 minutes south! Looks like you won't need the chains today!

Also welcome to the forum. You don't have to be crazy to live around CNY but it sure helps.
