Skyhawk frames already primed?

I got me my frame. The weather is perfect today. I haven't gotten an answer about the finish, is it a primer? it's like a gold color.

Tomorrow- I am painting it pearl white and hopefully the paint will have metallic to add a little sparkle I guess?

Mitch yes that's a 29inch front rim

It's an aluminum treatment called Alodine. It promotes good paint adhesion and keeps the aluminum from oxidizing.

Chromate conversion coat can either have a yellowish tinge or be clear. Clear is considered a safer for the environment choice, due to the chemicals involved in the process. Most aluminum used in military applications have this coating, which prevents corrosion.
