In 1996 Colorado, the Proflex 656 took 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place in the World Cup Campionship race. it also took 1st pace in the Womens comp. The BMW Proflex team, were racing against other teams, that had different makes of Bicycles.
Anyway, Risser racing make all kinds of custom dampers for bicycle and aircraft suspensions. They just happen to make one for the Vector Girven fork of the 656 Proflex. here are pics.
