Reed valve vs Piston port

What’s the speed difference roughly between reed valve and piston port does it make a big difference?

Any specific reed valve/windowed piston recommendations? Also If I do reed set up does it require a bigger carb than an NT?

Depends on what’s limiting your speed. A reed setup won’t necessarily get more speed for you. An add on reed valve actually adds some crankcase volume so reduces the pressure available to force the fuel air mixture through the transfer ports. You will likely gain as much or more by doing some porting and polishing after reading up on what to do.
