Question about drive chain pitch

So am I understanding this correctly, the chain pitch that comes stock on most kits is a unique chinese pitch, but the chain pitch from most aftermarket sprocket suppliers is 415?

So if you install a hub adapter, aftermarket sprocket, and 415 chain, what about the front sprocket? Do you have to replace that too?

#415 chain is what comes with almost all 2 cycle kits but a lot of people upgrade to #41 chain, it's the same pitch just a little wider.

The motor I just bought used came with #40 chain that the P.O. put on it and that seems to be working well too.
