Question about Chain Drive

My cousin comes back in town next week and he has lots of tools to help me with my Bike and I was wondering how good of an idea is it to have a chain drive that is a push start?

all the china bikes mostly are drag start if that is what you mean. They work just fine.

I think you would be better off with friction drive with so small an engine. I have no particular reason for saying that just seems it would be easier all around.

A friction drive would allow easier gearing changes....by changing the roller. I have no idea where to start as far as gearing...I sold my Spitz awhile back so I can't check it for you.

Yea, well I may have a 33cc coming my way soon. I think I am working things out to make it a belt drive instead.
