32:1 is 4 oz per gallon of fuel. The 40:1 is correct.

Good catch. I'm subject to that sort of thing because I'm usually too lazy to pull out the online calculator.

Speaking of oil mixtures, how does everyone measure their ratios?
 
I stole an 8oz measuring cup from the kitchen years ago. I always fill a 2 gallon can, so I just filler up for a can of gas. Don't tell my wife.
