Piston hitting head?

I was wondering what methods there are to check if the piston is hitting the head and what i can do if it is. Thanks

All kidding aside; is this a NEW engine, one with a new piston installed, or an old one that recently started to make you think the piston's slapping the head? If this only started recently, I'd check for play on the lower-bearing of the connecting-rod.

Look for a ring in the carbon on the top of the piston. ANY interference will leave a mark.
I'd be looking at the connecting rod bearings.

U Can Also take the spark plug out and turn over by hand to listen for it. Did you try to raise ur compression and are worried about hitting?
