Do the sprockets that come with the 80cc kits fit without modification onto a standard wheel hub with a coaster brake ? Or do I need to file the sprocket wider.... Thanks for your time. dance1

Re: Newbee question !!

You can grind down or remove the dust cap, or grind out the sprocket hole a bit.

Re: Newbee question !!

Wow thanks for the quick reply. What do you prefer ? I would think a lot more maintenance if there were no dust cap ?
I just ordered a micargi mustang gts in flat black. Love the look of the bike... Oh yeah and I ordered an extra chain due to the stretch.

Re: Newbee question !!

I usually just grind off the flange from the cap, and it still seals the bearing fine.

Whichever way allows it to sit centered the best. I usually have to remove and modify dust caps on my coaster brake builds. Cranbrooks need this mod but I'm not sure about other hubs. Try to keep the sprocket centered on the hub as it tightens down.
