Welcome to the forum! You are in the right place, somebody here will be able to help you out I'm sure. That is a nice bike right there man, and good prices too.

(They let you in a shop with that? My used to be girl Becky Nguyen would not have that:) She made people wear disposable slippers!)

I had never even heard of these things, then last Oct I got the DUI. A guy knew a guy who had a gasbike from his DUI, and I copped it for $50 I'm hooked now. Way too much fun for a grown man! Good luck. (You might get some info searching in the google search near the top of the page.)

Howdy Charlie, welcome.

Point Beach has to be one of my favorite foundations! (rear wheel is a PITB though)

The chrome on yours looks awesome. Really sets it off. Purty work.

Cold should not bother your idle. My first guess would be fuel flow. Check any filters and the float in the bowl.

As Trey said, the search feature here is awesome. Absolutely every problem or thought is around some where, here. I searched "wont idle"

The fenders on the PB's will try and kill you. They don't last long at all.

Lots of fixes and work arounds. http://www.google.com/cse?cx=partne...j33#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=fender failure&gsc.page=1

But any way, Purty Work! Post lots of pics

Welcome to the forum, Charlie.

I see you have the best carburetor which is the venerable NT style. There is a small screw with a spring under the head located on the left side of the carb. That is the idle speed screw. Turning it in will increase the idle speed/ out decreases the speed.
Have you tried adjusting that screw? How does the engine run otherwise?

Also heed the advice about the fenders. They will give you problems eventually but there are ways to reinforce them. They can be dangerous if you don't take precautions.

Good luck.

Tom
