Long time lurker but haven't really posted anything.
Anyway I'm figuring out all the details for my first build. I want to build a GT2-A frame from the ground up using a front suspension fork and an already built racing engine.
Where I live there are a LOT of hills. Some of these are 15-20% grade for a short distance then goes down to 5-10%.
I considered a SBP shift kit but since this is my first build I'd like to make it simple and somewhat reliable. My current approach is to buy a race engine kit from bicyclemotorworks.com.
What I'd like to know is this;
If all I want is 25mph MAX on the flats and at least 10mph going uphill, would a 56T rear sprocket fit the bill with no pedaling? Bike's going to use 26"wheels.
Also where can I buy a wheel that has a cassette for ~7 speeds but also a sprocket drive on the disc side.
Is there even a way to have disc brakes and sprocket on the same side?
Sorry for all these questions and I hope someone can help.
