Is an huffy superia a good bike first build?

There are too many things to list. Start with the basics. Fuel, air, spark.
Take off the air cleaner and look inside to see if the slide moves or pull the carb top and be sure the throttle slide is moving.Is throttle cable working? Is fuel flowing? Is the choke on? Sounds like the cable might not be attached to the throttle slide...

ok thanks for the tips! i don't really know the technical words to explain it as my friends who know about this type of thing are helping me with this project so ill let them know.
