Why after all that work would you eliminate the engine and go back to a pedal bike ? Blasphemy !!
All my 40 mph bikes were pretty dependable, going 25 mph. The problem is I like to go 40 mph in traffic, and at that speed vibration takes it's toll on those 2 smokes. After 4 years I was getting tired of the constant maintenance, and repairs. After that I tried for a year moving up one notch to a Tomos Sprint moped that I named Black Sheep. It went 42 mph after some work, but since it was registered, and had a license plate, it didn't feel right. Couldn't even pedal it down a city bike trail. So limiting. It was an improvement over a china girl though. Up until that time I would have never in a million years considered an electric bike.
