Hey guys,

I found 5 old Ryobi whipper snippers that people threw out in hard rubbish:
1X 26cc no clutch
1X 31cc no clutch
3X 31cc with clutch

I have taken them all apart to clean/fix them and so far i have 3 of them running. The other 2 need fuel line and they should work as well.

I have 2 old bikes that i could use to make them motorized. I am going to use a chain to power the rear wheel.

Greetings from Blakenstein; You should use the 31cc motors. When the first one gets used up, you can just throw in the next one. When you get the chain drive built, post pictures so I can see how u did that.

I actually decided that i am going to make it friction drive not chain drive, too much work with chain drive, plus i would have to buy 3 sprockets.

Have you seen
''Diy bikes in Wico." by Kev1n in the pictures and videos section at the motorized bicycle tavern?
Hes the seventh one down from the top on page one.

I've got a rear mount chain drive it comes a kit.I started with a 35cc ran it right through the winter, then a couple of days ago,I mount a brand new 48cc these are Bridgestone motors and the kits are sold by Island Hopper-American Drive Chain out of Florida. They have been sold out on their complete kits for over a year now, however they still have lots of motors and parts.
