Got interested in these bikes when I saw a fella riding a reproduction of the bike in big Jake at least looked close to it. I was floored when he told me it was a bicycle at first. Although it was turned completely into a motorcycle it still looked neat.
I drive a truck and want something that is light and easy to carry around loaded onto my chainbox .
I have a craftsman weed eater motor that I would like to use its a 4 cycle and about the easiest motor I've seen to start haven't run it all winter new gas four pumps on primer and five pulls
My concern is finding parts..... what I mean to say is that all of these sites selling these parts and kits seem to me are all the same

24ccs mounted right as friction drive can move an average guy about 20mph, maybe more depending. Im currently working on my friction drive 25cc build. You need to decide if you want friction drive or chain driven. The money you want to spend is you limit here, But your concern about finding parts? Is that parts for the actual motor itself or parts for mounting? If its parts for you motor, unless your weedeater is ancient, Homedeopt and lowes still sell parts for even some of their older models online. Your local small engines repair guy, is always a good place to start aswell. Mounting is based on the type of bike your going to be using. Get us some pics, maybe some more information on what drive method youve decided. There are plenty of people here to help you along the way. Good luck with the build!!

Hello. I used to drive trucks and can see why a bike, especially a small motorized bike, could make things way easier when you're stationed or broke down.

Try this:
(inexpensive folding bicycle)

And this:
Dax Friction Drive kit.

Also, there is Staton Inc (not quite the same design, but also a heavy duty friction drive, and US made. )

You should be able to get it all together for $600.

Skip the chinese in-frame engines and "motorcycle" looking stuff if you want to haul it along on a truck. Save the sweet starting weeder engine for your yard.
