Thank you all for your kind welcome. I have not started a new bike project yet. I came here to get some ideas and to find out about the legal status of motorized bikes in the state of New Jersey. Years ago I built a pit bike from a 1940's Columbia bike with a Sears Free Spirit front mounted motor. From what I have been reading here it doesn't look too promising with the NJ laws.
