good temporary muffler fix

I took my bike out for a spin the other day and it was running great when suddenly it started running very loud. I looked behind me to see the muffler cap rolling along the street. I turned around to retrieve the cap and watched a car run over it. Needing my bike to go to work the next day I wanted a temp fix. I looked around a bit and found a nearly empty aluminum Coppertone spray can belonging to my daughter. I cut it in half and found the contents were enclosed inside an easily removed bag (very handy). Drilled out the spray nozzle and attached it to the end of the muffler with a hose clamp and some JB Weld. It fits perfectly and works great.

I'd just spray paint it black and call it good! But that's just me. That's some good Macgyvering though.

Just got back from a long ride. JB Weld was smoking like an Iowa pig roast. I am going to redo the mod using the other half of can. I will secure it to the muffler with hose clamp and some metal screws behind the hose clamp

Innovative repair.
But did you know that the higher the UV protection, the quieter those cans will make your engine? :)
