Getting a gas tank.. But have a Question..

I am getting a 1996 HD sportster gas tank tomorrow from a German dude here..
I found it online.. its in good primer condition he says, It has the Cap, but not the
PetCock.. and he wants $60.00 for it... I told him I would meet him 2morrow.(i really dont have access to many bike parts in germany)

1st... Has anyone else mounted one of these to their bikes?

2nd... Is it difficult to make or get a petcock for one..

You should be able to get a petcock mail order easily or at a harley dealer. There are 100's of on-line catalogs for harley davidson.

I think a guy here mounted up a sportster tank.....maybe it was azbill?

agreed,,, the petcock should be easy to find...
I mounted a fatbob 3.3 gal tank on a Nirve Deviate chopper a few years ago

Cool awesome guys, I did find petcocks everywhere.... not tooo pricey.
I am looking forward to mounting it.. Im working on a "General Lee" bicycle..
This is my third build, but want something more than just the kit thrown on the bike like ive been doing. Ive yet to see a General Lee style bike, So I figured why not..
I like the way that tank looks on the bike.. I think real bike tanks look great on these things..
