Genesis 29" freewheel cog?

I'd appreciate some guidance on this rear hub.

I tried to replace the pedal brake with a freewheel cog this weekend, and it seems impossible. If you've done this, could you let me in on how to do so?
We have to remember that I'm not that bright, so it could be easy.
I have the feeling I need to lace in a new hub to do it. Is this my excuse to buy a Sturmey Archer? ;)

Thank you in advance for your help!

If I tore apart the hub and removed the brake shoes, would the internals move out of place? If not, would that then cause the sprocket to act as a freewheel sprocket? Obviously I'd need to remove the brake arm as well. It's just a run of the mill coaster brake hub.

To any moderator- I started this thread in the wrong section, it should be in "hubs". If you would please move it, that would be great.

Sorry! Trey
