Double Jug Gasket???

My Chinagirl came with 2 gaskets between the jug & case. I've read sometimes that happens at the factory, as mine did. If I remove 1 of 'em, what's that gonna do to the performance? Will it move the powerband? I KNOW this will affect timing, lowering the ports & increasing compression.
Will it hurt?
Will it help?

Has anyone done this & what happened?

Probably raise your compresion by a tiny bit but you might not even notice it. As long as you have good spark plug to piston clearance you'll be fine.

If you've already run the engine for very long and those gaskets have gotten hot, they might be stuck together as well as to the jug and the case, and removing them might damage them.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Replace with a single when needed, ignore until then.
