clutch questions. Answers anyone?

I'm putting my clutch back together & I have some questions. Do I put the clutch back together with the clutch in gear or out? When putting the flower nut back on do I do it with the clutch in or out? Thank you for all of your help.

im pretty sure the clutch has to start out in neutral when your setting it up but im a total newbie at this. jus repeating the direction's that came with my engine.
