hey

I'm getting so chain slap or vibration on my bike. was wondering if my tensioner to close to the sproket? Is this angle ok? the chain shakes on the top at random time when I'm giving it gas. sometimes it rides just fine.

Any ideas???

How tight is the chain? It appears to be tighter than recommended which will cause the problem you're having.
You'll want 1/2 to 3/4" of slack in the top chain run when you move the bike forward, clutch engaged, against a compression stroke. Too tight or too loose will give you problems.

As for the tensioner, the wheel should be aligned with the chain path. If it isn't it will pull the chain off to either side. You might need to put a twist in the bracket to get the wheel aligned with the chain. Also the rear sprocket teeth can be rough. We recommend that they be smoothed before installing the sprocket so the chain feeds onto it without any roughness. Good luck. Let us know if these suggestions help.
