wow...im just read that the capt died...im a really big fan of that show(my favorite) ...everyone that watchs the show knows he was a tough fella...my condolences to his family...the show wont be the same without him

he was dad that made and turn his kids into men! he was true to his game on fishing. sorry for the family. but he has gone to a better place. it is not going tobe the same watching the show.

i watch it whenever i can. phil was my fav character on the show.
one of the camera men asked him what he thought about his sons following in his footsteps.
his reply was something like: "oh, yeah. i think its a great idea. even in the off-season, you wake up in the middle of the night wondering where to drop pots, it takes an hour to get up in the morning because every single bone in your body grinds with pain, you'll go through a couple marriages and smoke 3 packs of cigarettes a day. great idea."
