I also really like to welcome you since I am also DIY fanatic! Some parts I used were from BBQ grill for covers over moving parts for safety.

Great having your grand father help and it looks like a great build but I would recomend re-agling the head tube, you'll find ill fit with forks and front fender, and if you were to hit a pot hole you could snap the whole front off, yha the right angel is imparitive, just someting to consider if your going to build a nice bike like yours
