bought me a used motor trike today

Lets see ......

I have 2 29 inch bikes yet to be built .... looking at 2 other motor bicycles used ...


and today I bought a motorized tricycle ..... for $370 ..... but it jerks ... needs a redesign.


its got a 99 cc predator on it .... seems fairly weak .... its old bike ... he dumped the basket and tried to add a motor ..... he was 84 .... he just gave up ...

... so now I am on his trike crusade to make work .....

... along with my other builds ....
 
Ok,

the jerking problem is that the bike powers only one tire (stupid) .... so, I will install single axle .....

the jerking while riding I believe is that is needs an axle to drive both wheels IMO.

any suggestions on revamping the drive train would be appreciated....

There are alot of ways to do it....driving one wheel isn't causing jerking probably....it may have a tendacy to steer it in one direction though... Esp if it lifts the front fork any at all....I'm building a truck trike with 2 separate drive clutches to each belt driven wheel..I started a thread here
