I recently went on a 2-3 mile trip on my bike, just riding around with a friend. I dropped my allen key set, went to go pick it up, and and soon as I picked it up my bike shut off. Since then, I haven't been able to get it to start. I drained all the fuel, put new gas in, replaced the carburetor, replaced the cdi, checked for spark (which i have), replaced the magneto, (i still have spark) and it still won't fire up. It just backfires, i even made sure the ignition was timed correctly, replaced my spark plug, and I replaced my exhaust. It still won't start
Is my bike flooded? If so, how to I get it unflooded?

Thank you!

I guess it's worth a try, in order for that to work you have to engage the clutch while you peddle it around without the spark plug on, however, I wouldn't do that very long, maybe just enough to clear it out, after that you could damage the piston running it without oil.

Yes I did. It turned out to be a fouled spark plug.
OK, let me explain.
So I was riding and my bike died and wouldn't start.....
I got home, Switched out the spark plug, still wouldn't start.
( Found out the spark plug I put in my bike as a replacement was a fouled one from a customers bike.)

Then saturday night when I got back from the monster jam I put a brand new NGK BPR6HIX spark plug in and it started right up!

Hope this helps and Let me know if this works

hey scar i want you to test 3 things

Compression/ roll the bike with the clutch out and see if its hard to push. if not, replace the head gasket and/or tighten the head bolts on the top of the engine (14mm or 9/16)

spark/ take the spark plug out then plug the cdi in the spark plug and hold it against the head and test for spark/
try to flip the magneto around. if this doesn't work replace the magneto coil.

fuel/ try to drain all the fuel from the carb and gas tank and then rut new fresh fuel in

air leaks/ make sure your carburetor is tight against the intake tube and make sure everything is tight
(tighten the intake, exhaust, head bolts, and spark plug)

let me know if this works.
Try everything before you get a friction drive. once you get these bike engines running, they're insanely fun

thanks
Niko

thanks i can't test anything now don't have any pedals waiting on my 3 pc crank to come in i know i killed my magneto with the pull starter tested it last night doesn't read 300-400 ohms but my magneto on the newer motor works so am swap it when i get my pedals also the new 1 has 3 wires am guessing for lights as for compression its good cause its hard to push the bike foward n u can hear the pistal pushing up am assuming i think i might try the same spark u used cause i have the ngk b6 also do u use stock cdi ?

nice bike!

I still use the stock cdi and carburetor. How is that cdi? is it the rocket racing cdi?

and you can take the magneto cover off and get a drill with a 9/16 socket and spin it to check for spark

also did you replace the jets in your carb? those "racing" carburetors like that run really rich
i don't know what type of cdi it is i got it off ebay it said high performance cdi i know when it ran it started up more faster then the stock cdi less pedaling as for the jets i never replaced it i don't know anything about mechanics sorry, how long do those spark plugs u got last ?
