Bike Bug Revival

Finally pulled my vintage Bike Bug off the shelf and got it going. Thanks to one of the members here I was able to download the manual which was very helpful. Attached is a photo of my bench mount that made restoring the engine much easier. Next is a photo of my Ryobi drill with 1 1/4" socket that fits perfectly over the roller for quick starting. Finally, the gas tank was full of rust so I dropped in several ball bearings and beat it loose before rinsing then soaking with white vinegar. The fuel pump appears to be in good shape so as soon as the tank is clean and I find a primer bulb, I'll be able to install it on the Hampton Classic I picked up at a garage sale a couple of weeks back for a dollar. I bought it for the fenders for my Shanghai Scrambler, but its in pretty good shape and will serve as a good platform for the low-powered, low speed Bike Bug.
