Anyone know the size of the screw on the flower nut?

I replaced the small bevel gear, but butchered the screw that held in the flower nut. Used one off another motor for now but I wanted to replace them with quality hardware

don't recall right now, but same as the screw that holds the clutch cable - I went to h/w store & got box of 100 high quality with 3mm allen heads - much easier to work with on the cable adjust

4 mm
Measure the OD of metric threads to see what size theyt are.

4 mm threads on the motor are:
Magneto cover
Magneto mounting bolts.
Idle screw.

Not all flower nut lock screws are 4mm I have 2 pressure plates that use 3mm screws. Rare but I'm just saying. .....

If you mean the small screw that stops the flower nut from turning then yes they are 4 mm.
No need to PM :D
Try a magneto cover bolt to check?
