Hey guys, some of you may know my bike, and some of the troubles I've had while learning about these contraptions. Well, I have another issue.
My engine has developed a persistently intermittent knock. It is significantly louder than when there is no knock, and pressing into the clutch bell seems to help, which tells me the knock is likely in the crankshaft. I've only started it intermittently since I discovered this. Will I need to replace the crankshaft, or the whole engine? If the whole engine, I'm not going with another 79cc. I have a DuroMax 7hp 198cc electric start sittin on the bench with no oil, and no valve cover, waiting for its time to be run in. What would I have to do in order to mount that in my frame vertically while keeping the jackshaft?
If all I have to do is replace the crankshaft, then how do I get the oil to stop leaking around the governor arm post?
