63 Schwinn typhoon 66cc build

Hello,

I decided to start a build thread on my bike, but it's probably going to be a pretty slow build.

I started out with plans of using my 63 hornet, but after thinking about it for a while I decided to use my 63 typhoon.

I'm not going to get in a hurry with this build, and I've got all winter to finish it.

Tanks for the compliments on the paint.

I've been slowly checking every thing on the engine, removing flash, sanding the fins flat, and replacing all the hardware with American made stuff.


Is there a way to post bigger pics here? When I click on the pics they don't open up any bigger.

Hey Henry, Sweet looking schwinn, there my favorate bike to build ! Can't beat good old american steel. Noticed the gas tank, looking great as well. What type of motor are you putting on that sweet ride?

I'm not sure what engine it is, my brother ordered it.
It's a 66cc that's all silver with no stickers and has an NT carb with it.

It also has eagles on the grips with chrome caps on the ends.

I haven't had much time to work on it lately, but I did get the engine and gas tank mounted.
