4-Stroke Electra

Hey everyone! Check out this 4-Stroke Electra our mechanics completed earlier this month!

We took a 7-speed Electra and mounted a 4-Stroke Huasheng motorkit. The last time we built a 4-Stroke we used the double roller chain system, this time the customer requested a T-belt drive

We painted the case of the motor to match the bike, and switched out the stock air cleaner.

The Original 4-Stroke motor mount provided was very bulky and wasn't the appropriate length to fit the bike.

So we ordered a new 4-Stroke motor mount/Jack shaft combo

We replaced the original crankshaft for the 3-piece crank with freewheel

In the middle of the process we realized the new mount was still too short. So Rick welded together this front motor mount to fill in the gap, and later replaced the stock muffler clamps for custom fabricated solid U mounts.

Everything was cleaned up and painted to match the color of the bike.

This is how the Motor mount and crank looked after we changed everything out.

We cut the cover of the T-belt and added a new blue fuel line and it was ready to go!
