2 Speed Bendix Coaster brake Hub + or -?

I have cleaned/de-rusted my rims, and was looking into Hub options. Would a 2 Speed Automatic Bendix (yellow stripe) w/ coaster brake be Helpful, Harmful, Deadly, Goofy, Cool, or all of the above? I also Have a 3 speed shimano hub, works well, not quite as vintage. I may be wrong on both choices- What do y'all think?

Okay- for those who don't know- it is a 2 speed hub that you can kick up or down with a little pressure backwards on the pedals. It ideally also starts in the easier gear then overrides once you approach a higher speed (more pressure). Not being condescending, i didnt know that either until a couple of hours ago myself...I just scored a garage sale Schwinn Racer that had one on it, and thought it looked pretty cool and unique, and maybe i could use it. If not it will be up for sale to fund my engine!
