1948 Schwinn Whizzer needs advice.

Not sure if it has the correct tank, frame seems to be correct what serial no.
are correct for that year?

Very nice! Check under the pedal crank for the serial number. 48 Schwinn should start with an E- then 5 numbers I think. Post the number and can look up.

The serial no is located at the rear of frame when checked shows to be a 54 with a 48 motor but has all the belt indentions I cant figure it out did schwinn make frames up to that point?
