18mm Mikuni carburetor

Hey fellas I'm running a new 18mm carburetor on a new Triple 40 style Pk80. Ported and has a stuffed crankcase. Any running engine through the break in the carburetor performed reasonably well for 3 tanks of gas but on my last couple of runs she's been idling high and no matter how far out I adjust the idle screw it doesn't change until I ride for sometime. I had it running and spayed some carb cleaner around the usual suspect places and no change in idle but shuts down immediately when I apply choke. I'd greatly appreciate any ideas you guys might have concerning this issue.
 
Thanks for responding Larry. I will do that, but I've ordered and installed 3 "speed carburetors" and couldn't get a single one to seal, that's why I purchased the Mikuni. I will try again with a new stock intake and nt carburetor.
