I found these 12 gauge 48 hole bmx hubs on Ebay for $4.99 plus $7.00 shipping. They have sealed bearings and 3/8" axle. I don't know what the spacing is - you'll have to contact the seller, but probably 100mm. They have high flange.

This would make one tough wheel at a cheap price.

I've used bmx hubs on my cruisers and they work great.

that would be a tough wheel to lace up, especially a 20" bmx wheel.

not saying i couldn't do it, but it'd be a pain.

then you gotta figure out how to stuff a sprocket in there...

The hubs are for the front, so no sprocket:) 20" wheel would be tough. I was thinking more along the lines of 26".
