add lawn muffler to exp chamber

I bought the basic 40 expansion chamber exhaust w.o. muffler and didn't know how loud it is.the one with cylinder stinger muffler wouldn't have fit due to kickstand.if I run it with a 45deg brass fitting fastened to the stinger with a Briggs lawnmower muffler.can type with holes..is this gonna...
