anybody conquer the electric start on the Chinese 70 cc frame mount motor yet? i have a problem with my back and sometimes I cant start the motor. Briggs and Straton has 12v starters for about 45 bucks and Ive got some ideas but...

The only reason you'd need an electric leg is if you had two broken ones of your own....then you couldn't ride a bike anyhow.

is a great idea. thunking a 4 stroker with electric start adapted would be more worth it. With a chinagurl where would you drive it from? Has the shaft forward but then you would have a lot of moding to do. dunno, but would be awesome if you can get it to work Lilhog.

Half the fun is all the dreaming up

I'm going to try an e-start on mine eventually, once I get a battery and stuff. Any high-torque 12v motor should do it...a drill, etc. I'll be using a motor from a 12v impact wrench.

Well if you had an electric front hub drive and the 70cc two stroke, problem solved and two wheel drive for snow.

Kewl thought Dav!! Gotdang!!! what a fascinating... dunno

Very kewl, simple, will work solution. and has other advantages. That would sell as a completed bike. if the rear hub was a gen.. man that would be a BA MB!

If you are going to use a 12v starter, use one from a car, then attatch a sprocket to it and power the bike with it as well. All the weight of a starter and a 12v battery that you will have to re-charge will require a little extra oopmph anyways.
