difficulty of running a single speed jackshaft and CVT?

was talking with more people about my plan, they said you can only have one or the other. Is that true or is it just very hard to have both? and if i can only have one, which would be better? I have no idea

Your other people are probably the same kind of limited thinkers who told me I couldn't make a bike that shifted engine driven gears automatically. Yet I rode the bike for 10 years

Space gets limited quick.
Only if you have limited skills and/or equipment. Welding skills, stretch frames, step through frames, rear rack mounts etc give you lots of options. Confining your creative thinking to a small traditional box limits your options.

I created a dual derailleur one handed color coded sequential shifting system by not limiting myself to limited traditional thinking.

it would require fabrication, if you dont have the tooling and materials required you wont be able to, if your jackshaft kit is for a single speed bike then I would go with a cvt, itll be worth it specially on a low powered engine like the 79cc

With the frame you're using it wouldn't be much of an issue fitting a jackshaft and the CVT in. The shaft can be removed and reversed to where you can put it to the back side of the seatpost instead of the front side of the seatpost

i think since its your first build lets just keep it simple and you can always redo it later, just focus on it working rn
