A Sweet Ride - Honda GX50 Tested With Rubber Roller

Tested the Honda GX50 with the 1.34 inch dia rubber hose covered roller, and,
I must say, I'm in heaven! The power and acceleration were smooth, with a top
speed of about 28mph. This combination works beautifully. I think I could ride
hundreds of miles with this combo, with no issues, and with no tire wear.
Beautiful!

I'm not sure if rubber to rubber can drive on wet roads, but it's
not a real concern since I don't plan to be out in the rain on any
bike. Uphill depends on the power and drive ratio. Joey Cottontail
describes hill performance using the same engine with a
1.33 inch dia roller. You can check out his video comparing the
performance of a Zenoah 43cc to the Honda GX50. If one desires
more power, the engine to use would be the Kasei 63cc 2 stroke
which hooks up nicely to the friction drive unit. MotorbikesbyJason
tested the Kasei and got 41 mph with friction drive - very
impressive for friction drive.
