well that's pretty much it. ive had so many problems with my kit it's ridiculous, but ///i'm pretty hard headed. The 26mm mikuni carb was for a honda 50. I think it will haul ass. peace
I installed the 18mm Mikuni and it is perfect fit, took some time to jet it because I did some porting, matching, tuned pipe, etc. I had to make an air filter because of the close learance between inlet of Mikuni and seat post, but no problems...........
O.K. I've Got one picked out right now to order. Maybe you can give me some advice on how to get the best performance. I am new to M.B.'s.. My plan for installation of the Mikuni involves two stock manifolds, (one with the mount cut off) connected by a short length of 1 inch hose (clamped tightly). The second man. will swing out to the left @ 135 degrees or so and I will install a K&N air filter. I just put on an exhaust pipe from Dax with a silencer. Before My 66 Chinese on a hybrid bike pulled hills awesomely (44t) and bogged on flats or down hill. With the silencer on it's exactly the opposite. What can I do to get the best of both worlds? Thanks in advance, and I've added you to my buddy list! -Bill
