This is why gloves are required to race with Socal Motor Bicycle Racing.

Full face helmet,
Eye protection,
Gloves,
Elbow & Knee pads,
Footwear with padding over the ankle.

is the basic minimum for your safety gear.

This pictured hand injury would have been avoided by wearing a decent
pair of gloves.
Any track riders "forgetting" any of their safety gear will be sent back
to the pits before starting and black flagged off the track if they start
a race.

This hand injury caused the cancellation of a final race.

The next Socal Motor Bicycle Racing event is on Sat May 31st at Grange Motor Circuit.

New racers at the April 12th race claimed some racers numbers that have not come to a SMBR race for over a year.

I don't think you made one race last year?
$5 a year membership is for racers who come to at least one race a year..
I guess that's what I get for being on the injury list. Are you gonna post the numbers taken to allow enough time for the racers to prepare their number plates or keep it a big secret until race day?

Thank you everyone who showed up to support motorized bicycle racing! :)

Socal Motor Bicycle Racing is membership only now since April 12th.
We have about 26 members who have claimed their race number with a $5 yearly membership fee.

The deadline for SMBR 2014 membership is Sat May 31st at 10am.
Race numbers after that cut off date are available to the first racers to claim them.

SMBR membership fees will be used to buy two way radio's, race flags and other track needs.

Any left over 2014 funds will be carried over to the next year.

The SMBR member list will be published online.
First off I will post the race results today then I will get to the racer member number list.

46 days to the next SMBR event at Grange Motor Circuit.

PS: Minimum 6" numbers on your plate please.

Heres the only 2 clips I have so far.

Am. Class Main from my Sons Gopro, I need to break down and get him a reed valve to make it easier on him.

Midrange Heat #1 from my Gopro, You can hear my shifter sticking in 1st gear sometimes, it was irritating and I didn't find the problem till I got home. Andy and Brian were just gone so its a kinda boring clip, the clip of my Main has some battling going on! I will post the other clips when I can.

And then there's MotoPed.....that also rhymes with JeJeJed?

I just may work on my ShowPed and bring it to the next race.....ah, the smell of the 2-stroke is in the air!
How about GoQuad?

Didn't think I could fit on one.
GoQuad spinning donuts is a lotta fun on those hard tires.
This was fast and had a pretty good disc brake.

Is this the future of racing at go kart tracks? :D
Goquads
Gopeds
Motopeds

Lowest turn out of motorized bikes ever........

I think I have a go quad in my trailer. If they're going to start racing with us, I might dig it out and rebuild it.

Try out a 80+ cc shifter or a 125cc ICC kart, it'll make every hole pucker flatting the fast stuff, lol!
I have driven a 125cc shifter kart around Grange and I didn't pucker, more like giggling like a school girl cause I got on it hard from lap one.

Front wheel disc brakes and enough power to lose it in any corner makes for a fun ride.
