where is the Idle Screw on new CNS Carb?

where is the Idle Screw on the new CNS Carb? i cant seem to find it....can somone show me with a Picture what am i supposed to look for? my engine wont Idle for crap...and its annoying,

You Have To Use Both Screws To Adjust Your Idle, The Screw Closer To The Air Filter Is The Air Adjustment The Other One Is The Fuel. To Adjust Your Carb Start Your Bike And Warm It Up, Now Try To Keep It Running, Start By Turning The Fuel Mixture Screw Turn It In The Idle Will Speed Up. Ultimately You Want To Rev The Motor You Want It To Go Back Down To Idle Quick If It Takes To Long To Slow Down Then Adjust The Fuel Screw But If The Idle Gets To Low Turn The Air Screw To Your Desired Speed. I Hope This Helps.

i know about that, i just cannot Find the screw itself. only things im finding is 2 screws that wont move, and if i try to move em, i will end up stripping the screw.

Ok, everyone our fellow mb-er here known as Unskilledmachinist needs some help getting his carb idle adjustment set, I've spoken to him many times, however 2-strokes & there trouble shooting are not my best of skills. I suggested to him that he should use the forum search on CNS Idle Adjustment and start a thread in Norms 2-stroke repair or 2-stroke engines forums to get further assistance.

The CNS carbs that are coming with the Grubee 2010 kits appear to have locked air and idle screws. Those are the screws, but they've got some kind of threadlocker on them.

This is true! I also have the 2010 66 cc kit, they have a serious thread lock on them. I lowered the needle to the lowest setting, cut 3 in. off the bottom of the muffler and welded end cap back on, got a ton of mid out of it. Still will not idle, but I'm ok with that. Heat is the only thing to free the thread-locker, thread-locker is liquid plastic and will only free up after you melt it with heat. I suppose they did this for there warranty, rookies melt motors turning screws.

They probably lock the carb adjustment screws to comply with 2010 EPA regulations.
So you can not change the factory tested setting.

Rather a crude way of doing it, most carbs use limited adjustment mixture screws.

Has anyone sucessfully freed up the screws?

Has anyone ruined their carburator trying?

I must say I'm very, very disappointed to learn of this While it's not unknown amongst other manufacturers to plug or otherwise disable the adjustment screws (some Yamaha outboards for example) - I can't help but think it pants-on-head 'tarded...

With disassembly (as to not damage gaskets/plastic bits) I would think a touch of heat (windproof butane torch/jet style lighter) outa free 'em up... at least I hope so as that adjustability is the only reason to have such a carby

Good luck Unskilled, be sure to use a lube when your ready to try the screw....and remember the brass screw driver slit will be real soft with some heat, might want to let cool a bit before leaning on it. Keep us the back seaters posted...

use a hair dryer to heat up mixture scew. now you can back it out and clean off with googone. presto you have a ajustable screw...

I have seen this asked over and over too but seldom have seen this simple term used -----> clockwise it go’s up.... counterclockwise it go’s down
