Guys I need honest answers here. I've gotten my bike up to about 22mph on a straightaway, the other day, my brother's bike got the same and my neighbor, about that too. We are all about 200lbs. Is this about right for these bikes? All propaganda aside, how fast do you folks really go on these bikes. By fast I mean all out, full throttle. I know these aren't top fuel drag bikes, and if 22mph is about it, then I'm happy; however, if my engine is tuned incorrectly or my fuel mix is off, then I need to know. My brother's is mixed at 32:1 and mine is close to that. My neighbor's is about the same. My bro's engine is the biggest that DAX sells, my should be around 65cc. My neighbor's is 50cc, I think. Our engines are bone stock.

Mine does about 25-27 on a flat level road, give me a slight grade to go down and I can get it up to over 30 and hold it there. Over 200 lbs and I have the 67/80cc motor with the stock sprocket.

I was clocked at 29mph riding next to my buddy's car. And I have small 20 inch wheels and weigh 185. I have the 66cc motor on an old swchinn. I runs much better now that i changes the carb jet down to .65mm. Still need some tuning.

22-24mph is typical for a new stock engine with 28mph after break-in. With a little tuning and slant head you can usually get up to 30-34mph. Many of those who claim very high numbers are using a speedometer set for kph but choose to read it as mph. Or just plain lying. I specially get a kick out of those guys who go 55-60mph with a 44t sprocket (rolleyes.gif).

I weigh around 165 and live in a fairly flat area. Almost every China girl I have ever built cruises around 22 MPH and tops out around 30. (and gets around 130-135 MPG) Break in, when it actually does, that second, Is a bit of a high. You will be going along and all of a sudden you hear and feel her smooth out and your moving faster with a happier sounding engine. That is just my experience with stock kits and parts.

Funny thing is each engine has sounded and felt unique. I think the bike it is mounted on adds to that greatly but each is her own girl 2 be sure.

But all seem happiest around 22 MPH.

Dunno if it is right but mix for a new China Girl, I use 6OZ dyno oil to one gallon. After broken in, 4.2. (and the .2 is suspect, lol) I am not saying that as a suggestion. Just what I do.

I got 88mph with a 44t...

There is a secret boost button that the Chinese installed between the fins in the cylinder. You need something like a needle to poke it and active the boost button. You have to do it at the right RPM or it wont work.

PM me and send me a money order for $129.99 and I will tell you where it is and what RPM to hit the button.

It's amazing guys it really works! .wee.

Ok now to get serious and respond to the question at hand....I have a Dax 66cc 44 tooth sprocket stock engine....I weigh 160pounds,lean,ripped and shredded lol....I have a smooth cruising speed of 27mph at half throttle all day long....When I hammer down on flat surfaces(and only for no longer that 15 second)only done it a few times,I max out at 35mph(When people ask me how fast it goes I always lie and say 40 mph....True story....
Ride on.shft.
